Radon Mitigation Services PDF Print E-mail

radon-dectectorsOnce you have tested your home and realized that your home has an EPA Action Level of 4 pCi/ls of radon, the next thing you need to do is have a "Radon Mitigation System" installed.  Radon Mitigaion is the process of fixing/removing radon from your home to a safe level.  This process uses specialized equipment and techniques that we at Green have ready for you.

"Do it Yourself" Radon Mitigation solutions are available but unless you plan on doing a lot of research, we recommend contacting us or another trained professional.  Radon mitigation is not something to be attempted by an amateur. Your radon mitigation system should only be installed by a trained radon mitigation professional. An improperly installed radon mitigation system could put you and your family in great danger.

Which method works best depends on how your foundation is built. For example, your home may have a full basement, cellar, slab-on-grade, crawl space, or a combination of these. You may need to use more than one reduction technique. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in its Radon Mitigation Standards (RMS), defines and describes the following methods.

Types of Foundations

  1. Sub Slab Depressurization (Basement)
  2. Crawl Space Depressurization System
  3. Block Wall Depressurization
